Dear Rabbis and community leaders:
Please join Project S.A.R.A.H. in the fight against domestic violence! Project S.A.R.A.H. is the domestic violence and sexual abuse resource for Jewish families in New Jersey.
This October we will be running our annual Many Voices/One Message public awareness campaign in concurrence with National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Last year over 150 rabbis and organizations joined us in sending the message that the Jewish community is united in its intolerance of domestic violence.
Your involvement in this initiative is crucial to support and maintain a community climate in which domestic violence is not tolerated. Participating in Many Voices/One Message means taking upon yourself one or more of the following actions:

Delivering a sermon or writing an article in your synagogue bulletin on the topic of family harmony/creating healthy relationships.

Hosting an adult education program on domestic violence.

Making appeals for donations, or giving a donation from the Rabbi’s discretionary funds to support the fight against domestic violence.

Attending further trainings related to domestic violence.

Participating in our initiative to develop a rabbinic board in your county to look at the issue of child sexual abuse in the Jewish community.

When you commit to participate in the Many Voices/One Message campaign, your name will be included in an ad to be published in local Jewish newspapers. This year we are requiring participants to contact us with an affirmative response, even if you have participated in the past. If we do not hear from you, your name will not be included on this year’s ad.
